K-12 Principal Displacement Rights. A K-12 Principal who has become the subject of a reduction in force shall have the right to displace either the least senior K-12 Principal, in his/her attendance area or in the district, as determined by the First Tier Seniority List, or the least senior K-12 Assistant Principal in the attendance area or in the district, as determined by the Second Tier Seniority List. Should he/she decline the right to displace another administrator, he/she shall be placed on the First Tier Recall List in the order of seniority. The principal or assistant principal who is displaced by the RIF'd principal is now placed on the First Tier or Second Tier Recall List in order of seniority. The displaced Principal or Assistant Principal shall be offered any open teaching position for which he/she is qualified by licensure, either before or after the NCCTA transfer window period.

This election must be made by giving notice to the Office of Human Resources within fifteen (15) days of the notice to the employee and Union of the layoff.

  • Coronavirus-Related Distributions (CRDs If you qualify, you may withdraw up to $100,000 in aggregate from your IRAs and eligible retirement plans as a CRD, without paying the 10 percent early distribution penalty tax. You are a qualified individual if you (or your spouse or dependent) is diagnosed with the COVID-19 disease or the SARS-CoV-2 virus in an approved test; or if you have experienced adverse financial consequences as a result of being quarantined, being furloughed or laid off or having work hours reduced due to such virus or disease, being unable to work due to lack of child care due to such virus or disease, closing or reduced hours of a business owned or operated by you due to such virus or disease, or other factors as determined by the IRS. A CRD must be made on or after January 1, 2020, and before December 31, 2020. CRDs will be taxed ratably over a three-year period, unless you elect otherwise, and may be repaid over three years beginning with the day following the day a CRD is made.   • Why did I get this Notice This is a court-authorized notice of a proposed settlement in a class action lawsuit, XxXxxxx, et al. v. Veriff, Inc., No. 2021L001202, pending in the Circuit Court of DuPage County, Illinois before the Xxx. Xxxxx Xxxxxxx. The Settlement would resolve a lawsuit brought on behalf of persons who allege that Veriff, Inc., collected individuals’ biometrics in Illinois through its identity-verification technology without first providing the individuals with legally-required written disclosures and obtaining written consent. If you received notice of this Settlement, you have been identified as someone who, at some time between November 12, 2016 and [Preliminary Approval], had biometrics collected, captured, purchased, received through trade, possessed, retained or otherwise obtained while in Illinois by Veriff or its technology for the purposes of identity verification, and whose identity was verified. The Court has granted preliminary approval of the Settlement and has conditionally certified the Settlement Class for purposes of settlement only. This notice explains the nature of the class action lawsuit, the terms of the Settlement, and the legal rights and obligations of the Settlement Class Members. Please read the instructions and explanations below so that you can better understand your legal rights. WHAT IS THIS LAWSUIT ABOUT? The Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (“BIPA”), 740 ILCS 14/1, et seq., prohibits private companies from capturing, obtaining, storing, transmitting, and/or using the biometric identifiers and/or information, such as scans of face geometry, of another individual for any purpose without first providing them with certain written disclosures and obtaining written consent. Defendant contests these claims, denies that it collected or possessed facial biometrics or any other information subject to BIPA, and denies that it violated BIPA. WHY IS THIS A CLASS ACTION? A class action is a lawsuit in which an individual called a “Class Representative” brings a single lawsuit on behalf of other people who have similar claims. All of these people together are a “Class” or “Class Members.” Once a Class is certified, a class action Settlement finally approved by the Court resolves the issues for all Settlement Class Members, except for those who exclude themselves from the Settlement Class. WHY IS THERE A SETTLEMENT? To resolve this matter without the expense, delay, and uncertainties of litigation, the Parties have reached a Settlement, which resolves all claims against Defendant and its affiliated entities. The Settlement requires Defendant to pay money to the Settlement Class, as well as pay settlement administration expenses, attorneys’ fees and costs to Class Counsel, and Incentive Awards to each of the Class Representatives, if approved by the Court.   • Tandem Switched Transport 7.3.4.2.1 For traffic delivered through a CenturyLink or CLEC tandem Switch (as defined in the Agreement), the Parties agree that, because this State is a new market for CLEC, tandem switched transport functions for Exchange Service (EAS/Local) non-transit traffic shall be compensated based upon the xxxx and keep compensation mechanism. Xxxx and keep will apply to both the tandem switching rate and the tandem transmission rate.   • Tandem Transit Traffic 12.1 As used in this Section, Tandem Transit Traffic is Telephone Exchange Service traffic that originates on CBB's network, and is transported through Verizon’s Tandem to the subtending End Office or its equivalent of another carrier (CLEC, ILEC other than Verizon, Commercial Mobile Radio Service (CMRS) carrier, or other LEC (“Other Carrier”). Neither the originating nor terminating customer is a Customer of Verizon. Subtending End Offices shall be determined in accordance with and as identified in the Local Exchange Routing Guide (LERG). Switched Exchange Access Service traffic is not Tandem Transit Traffic.

  • Shared Transport The Shared Transport Network Element (“Shared Transport”) provides the collective interoffice transmission facilities shared by various Carriers (including Qwest) between end-office switches and between end-office switches and local tandem switches within the Local Calling Area. Shared Transport uses the existing routing tables resident in Qwest switches to carry the End User Customer’s originating and terminating local/extended area service interoffice Local traffic on the Qwest interoffice message trunk network. CLEC traffic will be carried on the same transmission facilities between end- office switches, between end-office switches and tandem switches and between tandem switches on the same network facilities that Qwest uses for its own traffic. Shared Transport does not include use of tandem switches or transport between tandem switches and end-office switches for Local Calls that originate from end users served by non- Qwest Telecommunications Carriers (“Carrier(s)”) which terminate to QLSP End Users.
