Labor Code and Prevailing Wage Requirements. 6.1 Contractor agrees to comply with the requirements of California Labor Code sections 1810 through 1815. Eight hours of labor constitutes a legal day’s work per Labor Code section 1810. Contractor will forfeit the statutory penalty to District for each worker employed in the execution of this Contract by Contractor or any subcontractor for each calendar day during which such worker is required or permitted to work more than eight hours in any one calendar day and 40 hours in any one calendar week in violation of the provisions of Labor Code sections 1810 through 1815.
