Common use of Lay-off Procedure Clause in Contracts

Lay-off Procedure. When it becomes necessary in any department, through lack of work or funds, abolishment of the job, or other good cause to reduce the work force in that department, personnel shall be laid off or reduced in grade according to procedures outlined in the current Civil Service Rules and Regulations layoff procedure. Any future amendments to the Civil Service Commission procedures will be automatically incorporated into this Agreement.
