Common use of Layoff or Displacement Options Clause in Contracts

Layoff or Displacement Options. An employee notified of layoff or displacement must elect one (1) of the following: a. Layoff b. Displace (bump) another employee, if applicable (see Section 7) c. Request in writing to be placed in any open position for which the employee meets the minimum qualifications. (see Section 8) If an employee is unable to displace (bump) another employee or was not placed in an open position, the employee will be laid off.
