Layout and Protection. Subcontractor is responsible for its own layout. Subcontractor will preserve and protect all established line and grade benchmarks and will not cause damage to other subcontractors’ benchmarks or lay-out points. Any additional surveying or layout caused as a result of Subcontractor’s failure to take the necessary precautions to protect the data will be performed at Subcontractor’s own cost and expense.
