Leave for Candidate. a. When a teacher is nominated as a candidate and applies for a leave of absence to contest a Provincial or Federal election, the teacher shall be granted leave of absence without pay during the election campaign. b. When a teacher is nominated as a candidate and applies for a leave of absence to contest a Municipal or Regional election, the teacher shall be granted leave of absence without pay for a maximum of five (5) working days.
