LEAVE FOR PERSONAL HEALTH. Upon the recommendation of the Superintendent and the approval of the Board of Trustees, a unit member may take a leave without pay for the balance of the contract year for rest, restoration of health or the alleviation of hardship involving themselves or their immediate families. The Governing Board may require and pay for a medical report by a physician. A physician shall be selected by the unit member from a panel of three physicians designated by the District.
