Leave of Absence Without Pay or Benefits. A Sessional Faculty Member with a Continuing Appointment may apply in writing to the Department Head or Equivalent for a leave of absence without pay or benefits. Such applications must have a start date and end date that coincide with an academic term, and shall not normally be for a period exceeding one academic year. Extensions of leave up to a further period of one academic year may be applied for in writing within a reasonable period of time prior to the expiry of the initial leave.
