Common use of Leaving the Building Clause in Contracts

Leaving the Building. A certificated employee may leave the building during the school day, provided that the temporary absence of the employee does not occur during assigned pupil contact time. Additionally, such absence shall not interfere with the certificated employee’s professional responsibilities for individual assistance to students or parent-teacher conferences, and the certificated employee shall be required to notify the immediate supervisor, or in his/her absence, his/her designee, prior to leaving the building.
