Lunch Periods. All employees covered by this Agreement shall be entitled to an uninterrupted, duty-free lunch period after the employee has been on duty for five (5) hours. The length of time for such lunch period shall be for no less than one-half (½) hour, and shall be scheduled for full-time employees at about the midpoint of each work shift. Such times shall be mutually agreed upon between employees and their immediate supervisor.

Lunch Periods. Every covered employee, who is scheduled to work five (5) or more consecutive hours during a work day, shall receive a lunch period of not less than one half hour nor more than one hour. Such lunch periods shall not be considered working time. However, exceptions to this provision may be made upon mutual agreement of the employee and management.

Lunch Periods. Every teacher in the elementary and secondary school shall be entitled to a daily, duty-free, uninterrupted forty-five (45) minute lunch period; but where the pupils have a regular lunch period of less than forty-five (45) minutes due to modular scheduling, the duty-free period shall coincide with such regular periods of less than forty-five (45) minutes. The above does not preclude the right of individual faculties to shorten the lunch period so long as there is a minimum of three-fourths (3/4) of the faculty in agreement with the arrangements as well as with the appropriate adjustment of the time. The faculty vote will be by secret ballot. However, in no event shall employees have less than a thirty (30) minute duty-free, uninterrupted lunch period unless the students have a regular lunch period of less than thirty (30) minutes, in which case the duty-free period shall be the same as the regular lunch period.
Lunch Periods. The lunch period will be taken as close as possible to midshift but may be varied or staggered for different employees from one (1) hour before to one (1) hour after the middle of the shift according to the needs of the work in progress.
