Legal Counsel - Disciplinary Actions. If any employee gets legally involved because of disciplinary actions taken by the employee against a student, the Board will provide legal counsel and render all necessary assistance to the employee in his/her defense provided that it has been determined that the employee has acted within the scope of School and Administrative Policy. Whether an employee has acted within the scope of School and Administrative Policy for the purpose of this provision shall be considered a grievable issue and, if necessary, shall be determined through such channels.
