Common use of Legislative Action Clause in Contracts

Legislative Action. The cost of items contained in this Agreement and the provisions of this Agreement which supersede pre-existing statutes shall not become effective unless or until legislative approval has been granted pursuant to Section 5-278(b) of the Connecticut General Statutes or as otherwise provided by said section. The State employer shall request such approval as provided in said Section. If the legislature rejects such request as a whole, the parties shall return to the bargaining table.
