  • Part-Time Faculty A faculty member whose appointment is for a specified period of time and does not meet the full load requirements for an Academic Year as defined herein. Such appointment carries with it no promise or expectation of continued employment. Such appointments are not applicable towards tenure.

  • Paid Time to Working Time Full-time employees absent on approved leave, paid by the Hospital or by the Workers' Compensation Board, shall for the purposes of computing overtime pay during the work schedule in which the absence occurred, be considered as having worked their regularly scheduled hours during such leave of absence.   • Jury or Witness Leave The Employer shall grant Leave of Absence without loss of seniority to an Employee who is required to serve as a juror or who is subpoenaed to serve as a witness in Court. The Employer shall pay such an Employee their normal earnings. The payment they receive for service as a juror or as a witness, excluding payment for travel, meals, or other expenses, will be returned to the Employer. The Employee will present proof of service to the Employer, along with copies of payment for services they receive as a juror or as a witness.

  • Part-time Scheduling Subject to Section B of this Article, the Employer and the Association endorse the principle that less than full time equivalent ("FTE") positions shall, within reason, be expected to work a biweekly work period that equates to an eighty (80) hour work period multiplied by the position's FTE. (e.g., 80 hours @ .75 = 60 hours). It is further understood by both parties that ASF Members assigned to less than a FTE position may be required, during the peak work periods, to exceed their normal biweekly work period. FLSA non-exempt ASF Members who work a part-time schedule will earn overtime for hours worked in excess of forty (40) in a work week. The Employer agrees to review any ASF position that is less than one (1) FTE if the Association can demonstrate that the position has regularly been required to work a work period that substantially exceeds the normal work period as defined above, and adjust the FTE of the respective position as deemed appropriate by the Employer.

  • Returning to Work After a Period of Parental Leave (a) An employee will notify of their intention to return to work after a period of parental leave at least four weeks prior to the expiration of the leave.
