Part-time Scheduling. Subject to Section B of this Article, the Employer and the Association endorse the principle that less than full time equivalent ("FTE") positions shall, within reason, be expected to work a biweekly work period that equates to an eighty (80) hour work period multiplied by the position's FTE. (e.g., 80 hours @ .75 = 60 hours). It is further understood by both parties that ASF Members assigned to less than a FTE position may be required, during the peak work periods, to exceed their normal biweekly work period. FLSA non-exempt ASF Members who work a part-time schedule will earn overtime for hours worked in excess of forty (40) in a work week. The Employer agrees to review any ASF position that is less than one (1) FTE if the Association can demonstrate that the position has regularly been required to work a work period that substantially exceeds the normal work period as defined above, and adjust the FTE of the respective position as deemed appropriate by the Employer.
Part-time Scheduling. Regular part-time nurses shall be equitably scheduled up to 15-eight hour (or equivalent) shifts per six week posting period. Shifts in excess of 15 shifts per six weeks will then be offered by *equitably and seniority to all regular part-time and job sharers. All regular part-time nurses who have not been scheduled up to their commitment are required to fill out an “Availability Calendar”. Each unit will develop its own Availability Calendar. Such calendar must be submitted by the second Monday following the posting of the work schedules and must cover the same six (6) week period as the posted work schedules. Each nurse is responsible for the completion of his/her own Availability Calendar and failure to properly complete an “Availability Calendar” may result in the nurse not being offered tours up to her/his commitment. All regular part- time and job share nurses who wish to be offered additional tours are required to indicate their availability on their “Availability Calendar”. Each unit will deveop a method of record keeping to implement the above. Shifts in excess of 15 shifts per six weeks will then be offered by *equitably and seniority to all regular part-time and job sharers in the following order:
(a) Regular part-time and job share nurses on their own Unit,
(b) Job Sharers will be offered additional tours only when their partner is not working, unless no other regular part-time nurse is available, and,
(c) Regular part-time and job share nurses form other units who are qualified to perform the work who have indicated an availability for additional shifts on that unit;
(d) When regular part-timeand job share nurses are not available or all regular part-time and job sharers would be in a premium payment situation, then casual part-time nurses xxxxx be called in accordance with their availability. It is understood that the Hospital will not be required to offer tours, which would result in overtime premium pay. Shifts will be deemed to have been offered whenever a call is placed. *Equitably for these pruposes is defined as first ensuring all regular part-time are scheduled to fifteen shifts over the six week schedule. If there are an uneven number of shifts then seniority shall be the determining factor. When all regular part-time nurses on a Unit have been scheduled up to their commitment, the Hospital will offer additional unscheduled tours to regular part-time nurses, in the following order:
(a) Availability and seniority on their own Unit,
(b)...
Part-time Scheduling. All available prescheduled shifts shall be scheduled equitably up to their commitment among the regular part time nurses in each unit over a posted schedule. The Employer will endeavour to schedule the commitment in each pay period. If after equitable scheduling there remains an uneven distribution of shifts and commitment has not been met, the remaining shifts will be scheduled by seniority.
Part-time Scheduling. A nurse, who makes a commitment to be available on a regular part-time basis, shall be classified as a regular part-time nurse. The Employer agrees to schedule regular part-time nurses according to their commitment. Where extra tours become available, they should first be offered on the basis of seniority to regular part-time nurses, provided that no nurse will exceed her commitment as a result of being offered such extra tours where there are regular part-time nurses who have not been offered their commitment of shifts. Where all regular part-time nurses have been given the opportunity to work up to their committed tours, extra tours will then be offered to regular part-time nurses on the basis of seniority before casual nurses are utilized.
Part-time Scheduling. Part-time employees will not be required or scheduled to work in excess of five (5) days per week.
Part-time Scheduling. (a) The Hospital agrees to schedule regular part-time employees according to their commitment on the posted schedule in that unit.
(b) Where extra tours become available, they will be offered on the basis of seniority to regular part-time employees provided that no nurse will exceed her or his commitment as a result of being offered such extra tours where there are regular part-time employees who have not been offered their commitment of shifts.
(c) Where all regular part-time employees have been given the opportunity to work up to their committed tours in that pay period, extra tours will then be offered to regular part-time employees on the basis of seniority.
(d) There is no commitment on the Hospital to offer any of these shifts in this manner to employees where premium payment is required, unless applicable to all part-time employees involved.
(e) Where no regular part-time employee is willing to perform the available work, the tour will be offered to casual part-time employees on the basis of seniority.
Part-time Scheduling. Should the Hospital hire regular part-time employees, scheduling and regular part- time commitment will be discussed with the Association.
