Light Grading. This activity shall consist of trimming of the carriageway to control roughness and corrugations using either a towed grader or a motorized grader. The width of the carriageway shall be as specified in the drawings or as directed by the Engineer. Pegs 200 to 300mm shall be placed at 10 to 20 m intervals to xxxx xxxx of the carriageway. The material shall be bladed toward the center of the carriageway starting from both edges to the specified camber.

The contractor shall use equipment to carry out this item work.  The width of the carriageway shall be checked using tape measure at every 10m with tolerance of +50mm or -20mm.  The camber shall be checked using camber board at every 5m with and shall have a tolerance of +/- 1% Measurement: m2 The unit of measurement shall be square metres of carriageway graded. Payment The unit rate shall be the full compensation for labour, equipment and any incidental costs required for carrying out the work.
