Lobbying and Litigation. The chief executive officer of this Sub-recipient shall ensure that no grant funds awarded under this Agreement are used to engage in lobbying of the federal government or in litigation against the United States unless authorized under existing law. The Sub-recipient shall abide by 2 C.F.R. 200.450, which prohibits the use of federal grant funds for litigation against the United States or for lobbying or other political activities.

  • Lobbying and Integrity The Grantee agrees that no funds received by it under this Agreement will be expended for the purpose of lobbying the Legislature or a State agency pursuant to Section 216.347, F.S., except that pursuant to the requirements of Section 287.058(6), F.S., during the term of any executed agreement between Grantee and the State, Grantee may lobby the executive or legislative branch concerning the scope of services, performance, term, or compensation regarding that agreement. The Grantee shall comply with Sections 11.062 and 216.347, F.S.

  • Consideration of Criminal History in Hiring and Employment Decisions 10.14.1 Contractor agrees to comply fully with and be bound by all of the provisions of Chapter 12T, “City Contractor/Subcontractor Consideration of Criminal History in Hiring and Employment Decisions,” of the San Francisco Administrative Code (“Chapter 12T”), including the remedies provided, and implementing regulations, as may be amended from time to time.   • Pending Litigation Financial position and prospective long-term profitability of the Single Tenderer, and in the case the Tenderer is a JV, of each member of the JV, shall remain sound according to criteria established with respect to Financial Capability under paragraph I (i) above assuming that all pending litigation will be resolved against the Tenderer. Tenderer shall provide information on pending litigations as per Form CON-2.

  • Reporting and liaison 13.1 The Grantee agrees to provide the Reporting Material specified in the Grant Details to the Commonwealth.

  • Lobbying In accordance with sections 11.062 and 216.347, F.S., Contract funds are not to be used for the purpose of lobbying the Legislature, the judicial branch, or the Department. Pursuant to section 287.058(6), F.S., the Contract does not prohibit the Contractor from lobbying the executive or legislative branch concerning the scope of services, performance, term, or compensation regarding the Contract after the Contract is executed and during the Contract term.

  • TRAINING AND RELATED MATTERS The parties recognise that in order to increase the efficiency and productivity of the company a significant commitment to structured training and skill development is required. Accordingly the parties commit themselves to:

  • Summary of Policy and Prohibitions on Procurement Lobbying Pursuant to State Finance Law §139-j and §139-k, this Contract includes and imposes certain restrictions on communications between OGS and a Vendor during the procurement process. A Vendor is restricted from making contacts from the earliest notice of intent to solicit offers/bids through final award and approval of the Procurement Contract by OGS and, if applicable, the Office of the State Comptroller (“restricted period”) to other than designated staff unless it is a contact that is included among certain statutory exceptions set forth in State Finance Law §139-j(3)(a). Designated staff, as of the date hereof, is identified in Appendix G, Contractor and OGS Information, or as otherwise indicated by OGS. OGS employees are also required to obtain certain information when contacted during the restricted period and make a determination of the responsibility of the Vendor pursuant to these two statutes. Certain findings of non-responsibility can result in rejection for contract award and in the event of two findings within a four-year period; the Vendor is debarred from obtaining governmental Procurement Contracts.
