Common use of Local Employment Policy Clause in Contracts

Local Employment Policy. The CITY desires wherever possible, to hire qualified local residents to work on city projects. Local resident is defined as a person who resides in Solano County. The CITY encourages an active affirmative action program on the part of its contractors, consultants, and developers. When local projects require, subcontractors, contractors, consultants and developers will solicit proposals from qualified local firms where possible.
