Local Union Staff Representatives. A.21.1 Local Union school staff representatives elected in accordance with local Union procedures: a. shall be permitted to convene Union meetings in the school to conduct Union business on the condition that there be no disruption to classes nor other instructional or school activities; b. shall, whenever possible, conduct investigation of grievances, and participate in grievance meetings outside normal instructional hours. In emergent cases, where such investigation or grievance meetings cannot be conducted outside normal instruction hours, the school staff representative shall be relieved of instructional duties and shall not suffer any loss of pay; c. shall be granted leave of absence, subject to Union leave provisions, to attend an arbitration hearing, pursuant to Article A.20.2 and A.20.3 of this Agreement.
