Association Representatives. Authorized representatives of the Association shall be permitted to transact Association business on and with school property at all reasonable times provided that such activities shall not interfere with normal school operations.

Association Representatives. The Association shall promptly notify the Employer, in writing, the names of those persons who have been authorized to act on its behalf and the authority of each such person, which notice shall remain in effect until superseded by a new written notice.
Association Representatives. A. The County agrees to recognize one (1) Bargaining Unit representative and one (1) alternate from each department in which Bargaining Unit employees work for the purpose of contract administration as set forth in this Article. The County also agrees to recognize one (1) of the Department Representatives as the Chief Association Representative. The Chief Association Representative may perform representational responsibilities outside of his or her department in the event a Departmental Representative is unavailable. B. The names of employees selected as departmental representatives shall be certified, in writing, to the County Division of Human Resources and the appropriate Department Director by the Association. C. It is agreed to and understood by the parties to this Agreement that Employee Association Representatives may, without loss of pay, and with prior approval of their supervisor, attend pre-disciplinary meetings, grievance meetings, and labor - management committee meetings which arise from within the representative's Department. Departmental representatives or their alternates may also participate in collective bargaining negotiations. The supervisor's approval to attend any such meetings shall not be unreasonably withheld. D. It is agreed to and understood by the Association that Association Representatives shall process grievances and conduct their other duties in such a manner as to not disrupt normal County activities, work production and services. E. Conducting Association business or distributing Association literature, shall not be done in work areas during work time. However, Association business may be conducted or literature may be distributed and/or posted on the bulletin board space provided herein during lunch periods. F. Association Representatives, i.e., Non-employee Association Business Representatives, shall be certified, in writing, to the County Division of Human Resources by the Association. Non-Employee Association Business Representatives shall, upon arrival at a County Division or premises, report to the Division Director or the supervisor in charge. The Association agrees that activities by the Association Representatives shall be carried out in such a manner as not to disrupt normal Departmental activities, work production and services. G. Association Representatives. A. The President of the Association shall furnish the Commissioner or Commissioner’s designee with a written list by September 15 of each year of officers and representatives of the Association and their terms of office. It is clearly understood that in the implementation of this section, there shall not be more than one (1) Association representative from each College; provided, however, that if a designated representative is unavailable, the President of the Association shall notify the Commissioner or Commissioner’s designee as to who shall be that representative's alternate. B. The President of the Association shall notify by July 1 of each year the Commissioner or Commissioner’s designee and the Presidents of the affected Colleges or their designees of the names of unit members who have been certified to have been approved by the President of the Association for a workload reduction. The Employer shall provide each Chapter President with a workload reduction of one (1) course section per semester without cost to the Association. The Association shall pay for an additional fifteen (15) course sections per semester at the Level 2 rate of pay under the Association’s Division of Continuing Education collective bargaining agreement. Colleges will be permitted, but shall not be required, to enter into agreements granting additional reassigned time. Such additional reassigned time shall be paid for by the Association at the Level 2 rate of pay under the Association’s Division of Continuing Education collective bargaining agreement. Unit members who receive a workload reduction shall teach at least one (1) course per semester. No College shall be required to provide more than three (3) sections of unpaid workload reduction in any semester. Unit members who receive a workload reduction under this Article shall receive a proportional reduction in office hours in accordance with Article XII, 12.03.C.1 and Appendix A, Section B. For purposes of this Article, seven (7) clock hours reassigned time per week shall be considered one (1) section of reassigned time for professional staff. The provisions of Section 2.05.B shall not apply to part-time unit members. C. The Association shall also notify the Presidents of Colleges by July 1 of each year of the names of each Chapter President or Chapter President’s designee who has been certified for a workload reduction. Association Representatives. 9.8.3.1 Representatives of the Association shall report to and make arrangements with their respective Department Chairs when it becomes necessary for them to be absent from duty for the purpose of carrying on negotiations and to prepare for and attend any meetings with the administration of the College directly connected with management-employee relations. 9.8.3.2 Meetings between representatives of the Association and the College will be scheduled at times mutually agreeable to the parties. Reasonable effort shall be made to hold such meetings at times that do not conflict with assigned duties. 9.8.3.3 The Chief Xxxxxxx and Stewards shall be granted a reasonable amount of leave from normal duties with full pay and benefits to perform their duties as Stewards pertaining to grievance and/or contract administration. They shall make scheduling arrangements with their respective Department Chairs to ensure that the needs of the department are met. 9.8.3.4 Where, after consultation, the College agrees replacement faculty are required to replace Association representatives who are scheduled to meet with College representatives regarding the employment relationship, the College shall cover the costs of such replacements.

Association Representatives. Duly authorized representatives of the Association shall be permitted to discuss matters pertaining to Association business with District personnel at reasonable times, at the discretion of the Superintendent, provided that this shall not interfere with or interrupt normal operations.
Association Representatives. 1. The principal of each school and the Association Representative shall meet at the request of either party to discuss the administration of this Agreement and to discuss procedures for improvement of the school program and policies. 2. The Association Representative shall have: a. The right to schedule Association meetings which do not interfere with the normal teaching duties of the teachers or general conduct of business at the school; b. The use of a bulletin board in a location agreed upon with the principal for Association information; c. The use of the school’s communication system to make announcements at appropriate times; d. The time at faculty meetings for announcements, if requested; and e. The right to be present at any meeting when requested by the teacher. Such request shall not have the effect of delaying the meeting unless discipline is contemplated.
Association Representatives. The Association has the right to select employees from within the Bargaining Unit, as herein defined, to act as Association Representatives. The names of Association Officers and Representatives shall be certified, in writing, to the County's Labor Relations Director, and to the concerned Department Directors. It is agreed to and understood by the parties to this Agreement that Association Representatives may, without loss of pay, with prior approval of their supervisor, process grievances. It is agreed to and understood by the parties to this Agreement that there shall not be more than twenty-five (25) representatives within the Bargaining Unit, as herein defined. The supervisor's approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. It is agreed to and understood that Association Representatives shall process grievances and conduct their other duties in such manner as to not disrupt normal County activities, work production and services. Distribution of Association literature shall not be done in work areas during work time. Every effort will be made, by both the County and the Association, to allow Association Representatives to investigate grievances as rapidly as possible, preferably on the same date as the grievance becomes known and at least within twenty-four (24) hours. The investigation of a pending grievance or personal contact of employees during work time by Association Representatives, or non-employee Association Business Representatives shall not be done without first receiving prior approval from an employee's supervisor. Approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. The total amount of time granted to Association Representatives cumulatively to process grievances and to attend union functions shall not exceed 2500 hours in total for each year of this Agreement. Time taken off under this provision shall be charged to Union Activity Leave. Non-employee Association Business Representatives shall be certified, in writing, by the Association to the County's Director of Labor Relations. The Association agrees that activities by the Association Representatives shall be carried out in such a manner as not to disrupt normal Departmental activities, work production and services.
