List of Union Representatives. The Union agrees to provide and maintain an up-to-date list of all Union Representatives (including Union Stewards, Union Executive, Grievance Committee, Labour/Management Committee and Negotiating Committee) to the Director of Human Resources or designate.

New Interview All new employees will have the opportunity to meet with a representative of the Union in the employ of the Hospital for a period of up to minutes during the employee's probationary period, without loss of regular earnings. The purpose of such meeting will be to acquaint the with such representative of the Union and the collective agreement. These interviews will be scheduled in advance and may be arranged collectively or individually by the Hospital.

The Chairperson shall, within twenty (20) days from the signing of this Agreement, provide the Manager of Labor Relations (reference to the Manager of Labor Relations in this Agreement shall mean the Manager of Human Resources at those facilities where the Labor Relations functions are the responsibility of the individual with that title) with a list of its representatives and their alternates by name, clock number, position, and the area which each representative serves. Changes in this list shall be furnished to the Manager of Labor Relations promptly, in writing as they occur. The Company shall not recognize any Union representative of whom it has not been so informed. Further, the Chairperson shall provide the Manager of Labor Relations with an updated copy of the subject list quarterly.

The Hospital agrees to continue to recognize the privilege accorded to Union Executive Officers in their representation of employees in the presentation of grievances in situations where stewards are unavailable. Union stewards have their regular duties and responsibilities to perform for the Hospital and shall not leave their regular duties without first obtaining permission from their immediate supervisor. Such permission shall not be unreasonably withheld. If, in the performance of his grievance duties, a union xxxxxxx is required to enter an area within the Hospital in which he is not ordinarily employed, he shall report his presence to the supervisor in the area immediately upon entering it. When resuming his regular duties and responsibilities, such xxxxxxx shall again report to his immediate supervisor. A union xxxxxxx shall suffer no loss of earnings for time spent in performing the above duties during his regular scheduled working hours.

A police officer will not be recognized as a xxxxxxx, or accorded the rights of a xxxxxxx as provided in this Agreement, unless such written notice has been provided by the Union to the University’s AVP of HR. If problems arise regarding Union Xxxxxxx authorized activities in representing officers, the Union agrees to discuss the problem with the University.
