Common use of Long Lead-Time Items Clause in Contracts

Long Lead-Time Items. The Design-Builder shall recommend to the Owner and Program Manager a schedule for procurement of long Iead-time items that will constitute part of the Work as required to meet the Project schedule. If such long Iead-time items are procured by the Owner, they shall be procured on terms and conditions acceptable to the Design-Builder. Upon the Owner's acceptance of the Design-Builder's Guaranteed Maximum Price proposal, all contracts for such items shall be assigned by the Owner to the Design-Builder, who shall accept responsibility for such items as if procured by the Design-Builder. The Design-Builder shall expedite the delivery of long Iead-time items.
