Common use of Maintenance of Health and Safety Clause in Contracts

Maintenance of Health and Safety. The employer shall be responsible to ensure and maintain conditions of employment that are free of hazards that are causing or are likely to cause serious physical harm to employees. In order to ensure that members understand their individual roles in the health and safety in the buildings, periodic training shall be required as determined by the superintendent to remain in compliance with various state and federal laws. Failure to comply with applicable training guidelines may result in disciplinary procedures.
