Mandated Policies. Participating Institutions acknowledge and agree that with respect to Research that is subject to federal regulations or funding policies mandating reliance on a single IRB, Participating Institutions may be subject to one or more federal department- or agency-mandated policies and procedures governing the conduct of the reliance relationship once it is established (a “Mandated Policy” or “Mandated Policies”). In such instance, the Mandated Policies will apply, and in the case of any conflict between a provision of a Mandated Policy and a term of the Agreement, the Mandated Policy will govern as to that term.
