Common use of Manufacturing Plants Clause in Contracts

Manufacturing Plants. (a) All employees in manufacturing plants who work on New Year's Day, Family Day, the designated Easter Holiday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, British Columbia Day, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day shall be paid rate and one-half for all hours so worked except as provided for in Article V - Hours of Work, Section 1(b) or Section (2)(b)B. (b) At the option of the Company, but wherever possible by mutual agreement with the Shop Committee, either Good Friday or Easter Monday shall become the designated Easter Holiday, and the Company shall notify its employees of the designation at least one (1) week prior to the said holiday. (c) An hourly rated employee in a manufacturing plant who qualifies for any of the holidays named in Section 2(a) herein, in accordance with the conditions set out in Section 3, shall be paid for the said holiday at his regular job rate of pay for his regular work schedule.
