Maximum Compensatory Time All Employees except IAFF. Employees may accumulate no more than the maximum number of hours of compensatory time allowed under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act. Employees may accumulate no more than four hundred eighty (480) hours of compensatory time. IAFF members may accrue compensatory time throughout the biennium. The employee’s compensatory time balance will be cashed out on the last day of the biennium or when the employee: 1. Leaves state service for any reason; 2. Transfers to a position in their agency with different funding sources; or 3. Transfers to another state agency.
