Maximum Leave in Lieu and Time in Lieu. (a) An Employee cannot accumulate more than seventy-five (75) hours leave in lieu or time in lieu at any time unless otherwise agreed by the Employer and the Employee.

  • Time in Lieu (a) An Employee may, with the consent of the Employer, elect to take time off in lieu of payment for overtime worked (including where recalled to duty) for a period equivalent to the overtime worked, plus a period equivalent to the overtime penalty incurred or a combination of time off and payment to the same value.

  • Percentage in Lieu The eight and one-half percent (8.5%) premium is given in lieu of benefits under Articles 12 except 12.04, 14, and 17. APPENDIX “B”

  • Retirement in Lieu of Layoff 9.9.1 Any member in the bargaining unit may elect to accept a service retirement in lieu of layoff, voluntary demotion, or reduction in assigned time.   • Demotion in Lieu of Layoff The appointing authority shall determine by class, subject to review by the Director, whether demotion shall be afforded employees as an option in lieu of layoff. At the request of the appointing authority, a permanent employee shall, in lieu of layoff, be afforded the option of demotion within the same department to a position in a lower class, provided that no such demotion shall in turn require the layoff or demotion from such lower class of any employee whose layoff rating is at least as high as that of the demoting employee. A probationary employee may be afforded the opportunity to accept a demotion within the same department to a position in a lower class provided no such demotion shall in turn require the layoff of any employee in the lower class. Such probationer shall not become permanent in the lower class by this action except by completing a new full probation period in such lower class.

  • Time Off in Lieu of Overtime Employees who work overtime will not be required to take time off in regular hours to make up for overtime worked. Time off in lieu may be taken on a mutually agreed upon basis between the employee and the Hospital, such time off will be the equivalent of the premium rate the employee has earned for working overtime. The Hospital shall revert to payment of premium rate if time off is not taken within ninety (90) calendar days of the work week in which the overtime was earned or, with the employee’s agreement, within 12 months of that work week.

  • Cost Share Federal and provincial governments support AgriInsurance programs by paying all administration expenses and sharing premium costs with the Insured.

  • Employee Called as a Witness The Employer will grant leave with pay:

  • Payment in Lieu If an employer makes payment in lieu for all or any of the period of notice prescribed, the period for which such payment is made must be treated as service with the employer for the purposes of computing any service related entitlement of the employee.

  • Cashing out of Annual Leave (a) Annual leave credited to an employee may be cashed out by agreement, subject to the following conditions: (refer to section 93 of the Act)
