Common use of Maximum Overstaff Hours Clause in Contracts

Maximum Overstaff Hours. No nurse shall be placed in overstaff status for more than eighty-four (84) hours in any calendar year. This maximum shall not include voluntary overstaff hours or where the nurse has been given a floating assignment. If the overstaff cap is reached, the nurse may be assigned to any work responsibilities within nursing services. This cap shall not apply to registry nurses.
