Meal Breaks During Overtime. (a) Employees required to continue work after the normal ceasing time shall be entitled to a 30-minute crib break after two hours work where work is to continue beyond 2 hours. Provided that where such overtime continues beyond 6.00 pm, a 30-minute crib break shall be provided after one hour where work is to continue beyond one hour. After each further period of 4 hours overtime on the same day, the employee shall be allowed 45 minutes for crib where work is to continue beyond 4 hours. No deduction of pay shall be made in respect of such crib break. (b) In all other circumstances, an employee shall be entitled to a crib break of 30 minutes after 5 hours of overtime where the employee is required to work beyond the 5 hours. A further crib break of 45 minutes shall be provided after each additional period of 4 hours where the employee is required to work beyond this period. No deduction of pay shall be made for such crib breaks.
