Common use of Medical Coverage for Long Term Illness Clause in Contracts

Medical Coverage for Long Term Illness. Unit members who are absent on account of illness and who have exhausted their accumulated sick leave shall receive the same medical insurance protection they received prior to the onset of illness, for a period not to exceed twelve (12) months from the date of exhaustion of the accumulated sick leave, or until the unit member qualifies for State Disability, whichever comes first.
