MENTORSHIP TASKFORCE. A joint Union-Management Taskforce shall be formed to further the goal of reviewing Professional Development, Career Services, and Mentorship activities, the logistics of Mentorship Compacts, programs, and practices across the University. This taskforce will collaborate on mentorship training associated with ASE employment. The Union retains the right to elect ASE representatives to this Mentorship Advisory Taskforce. Attendance at the meetings will be considered time worked.

  • Mentorship Nurses may, from time to time, be assigned a formal mentorship role for a designated nurse. Mentorship is a formal supportive relationship between two (2) nurses, which results in the professional growth and development of an individual practitioner to maximize her or his clinical practice. The relationship is time limited and focused on goal achievement. Orientation to the organization or general functioning of the unit does not constitute mentorship. After consultation with the nurse being mentored and the mentor, the Hospital will identify the experiences required to meet her or his learning needs, will determine the duration of the mentorship assignment and expectations of the mentor, and appropriate training. During the consultation process, the Hospital will review the mentor’s workload with the mentor and the nurse being mentored to facilitate successful completion of the mentoring assignment. The Hospital will provide, on a regular basis, all nurses with an opportunity to indicate their interest in assuming a mentorship role, through a mechanism determined by the local parties. The Hospital selects and assigns the mentor for a given mentoring relationship. At the request of any nurse, the Hospital will discuss with any unsuccessful applicant ways in which she or he may be successful for future opportunities. The Hospital will pay the nurse for this assigned additional responsibility a premium of sixty cents (60¢) per hour, in addition to her or his regular salary and applicable premium allowance.

  • Employee Development The Employer may provide employees the opportunity to participate in appropriate seminars, workshops or short courses. When possible and appropriate the Employer will provide to all staff information on seminars, workshops or short courses by posting a notice on the Employer’s internal web site.

  • XXXXXXXX FAIR EMPLOYMENT PRINCIPLES In accordance with the XxxXxxxx Fair Employment Principles (Chapter 807 of the Laws of 1992), the Contractor hereby stipulates that the Contractor either (a) has no business operations in Northern Ireland, or (b) shall take lawful steps in good faith to conduct any business operations in Northern Ireland in accordance with the XxxXxxxx Fair Employment Principles (as described in Section 165 of the New York State Finance Law), and shall permit independent monitoring of compliance with such principles.

  • TRAINING AND EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT 9.1 The Employer and the Union recognize the value and benefit of education and training designed to enhance an employee’s ability to perform their job duties. Training and employee development opportunities will be provided to employees in accordance with Employer policies and available resources. 9.2 Attendance at employer-required training will be considered time worked. The Employer will make reasonable attempts to schedule employer-required training during an employee’s regular work shift. The Employer will pay the registration and associated travel costs in accordance with Article 23, Travel, for employer-required training.

  • Adverse Developments Since June 30, 2009, there has been no material adverse change in the business, operations or condition (financial or otherwise) of the Company; nor has there been since such date, any damage, destruction or loss, whether covered by insurance or not, materially or adversely affecting the business, properties or operations of the Company.

  • Exclusive Employment During employment with the Company, Executive will not do anything to compete with the Company’s present or contemplated business, nor will he plan or organize any competitive business activity. Executive will not enter into any agreement which conflicts with his duties or obligations to the Company. Executive will not during his employment or within one (1) year after it ends, without the Company’s express written consent, directly or indirectly, solicit or encourage any employee, agent, independent contractor, supplier, customer, consultant or any other person or company to terminate or alter a relationship with the Company.

  • EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING 1. The State agrees to provide advice and counseling to employees with respect to career advancement opportunities and agency developments which have an impact on their careers. 2. Regular review of its job-related and career development and training programs will be made by the State in order to provide suitable programs for employees covered by this Agreement. When undertaking any such review, the State shall notify employees of such review and take into account suggestions and proposals made by employees. 3. Employees shall be given a reasonable notice of applicable, development and training programs available. Such notice shall include an explanation of the procedure for applying for the program. Notices of development and training programs shall be posted for reasonable periods in advance on bulletin boards at applicable work locations within the agencies involved. An appointing authority shall make every effort to permit employees' participation in such career development and training programs. Participation in any training inside or outside of work hours which is required by the State as a condition of fulfilling the requirements of the employee's job, or any in-service State training which is conducted or undertaken during normally scheduled work hours will be considered as time worked. 4. The State shall pay tuition, course-related fees, other approved course required costs and for necessary travel and lodging pursuant to established policies and procedures.

  • Employment of Consultants Part A General Consultants’ services shall be procured in accordance with the provisions of the Introduction and Section IV of the "Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers" published by the Bank in January 1997 and revised in September 1997 (the Consultant Guidelines) and the following provisions of Section II of this Schedule. Part B: Quality- and Cost-based Selection Except as otherwise provided in Part C of this Section, consultants’ services shall be procured under contracts awarded in accordance with the provisions of Section II of the Consultant Guidelines, paragraph 3 of Appendix 1 thereto, Appendix 2 thereto, and the provisions of paragraphs 3.13 through 3.18 thereof applicable to quality- and cost-based selection of consultants.   • Inventorship Inventorship for patentable inventions conceived or reduced to practice during the course of the performance of activities pursuant to this Agreement shall be determined in accordance with United States patent laws for determining inventorship.
