Joint Union. Management meetings shall be held as often as agreed upon by the Union and Management. The purpose of these meetings shall be to promote harmony and efficiency and to improve communications between employees and all levels of management. The meeting agenda shall be determined by those in attendance and there shall be no restrictions on the subject matter, provided the meetings shall not substitute for normal grievance procedures or for formal negotiations between the Parties. The meetings may be summarized in written minutes. In order to encourage free discussion specific statements and the name of the person making the statement shall not be quoted outside of the meeting.

Joint Union. Management Welfare Committee A Union Welfare Committee shall be appointed and shall meet with a Management Welfare Committee with respect to questions which may arise concerning the operations of the Welfare Plan. The function of the Joint Committee will be to review the operations of the Welfare Plan. It will meet quarterly to formulate and review statistical reports such as usage and costs; it will also review carrier agreements supplied by the Company for the purpose of ensuring compliance with Exhibit “C”. This committee would also deal with any disputes that may arise under the dispute resolution process.
Joint Union. Administration Committee shall formulate plans for the utilization of two special education rooms of the same category in a selected number of schools to be designated by the CEO on a trial basis. This committee shall evaluate the educational benefit of such organization and shall submit a report of such evaluation to the CEO. Special Education teachers will continue to be alert to children who appear to be able to return to regular grade or appear in need of a different Special Education placement. Upon the recommendation of the Special Education teacher, such children, regardless of the period of time in the 62 DFT/SDCD Agreement (7/1/99-6/30/02) special program, shall within one semester of the recommendation be reevaluated and/or retested and categorized in terms of emotional, academic, and physical factors. Pursuant to such re-evaluation and/or retesting, the pupil will then be appropriately placed. Psychologists shall be responsible for at least three (3) evaluations or re- evaluations per week unless prevented from doing so by circumstances beyond their control.

  • Joint Union/Management Committee It shall be appropriate for either the Union or the University to request that a Joint Union/Management committee be convened, with Environmental Health and Safety as a participating member, to discuss health and safety concerns and to explore options for addressing those concerns through appropriate training or other approaches.

  • Economic Cooperation 1. The Parties will encourage the utilization of cooperation instruments and mechanisms with a view to strengthen the processes of economic integration and commercial exchange. 2. The objectives of economic cooperation will be: (a) to build on existing agreements or arrangements already in place for trade and economic cooperation; and (b) to advance and strengthen trade and economic relations between the Parties. 3. The Parties will encourage and facilitate, as appropriate, the following activities, including, but not limited to: (a) dialogue about policies and regular exchanges of information and views on ways to promote and expand trade in goods and services between the Parties; (b) joint elaboration of studies and technical projects of economic interest according to the economic development needs identified by the Parties; (c) keeping each other informed of important economic and trade issues, and any impediments to furthering their economic cooperation; (d) providing assistance and facilities to business persons and trade missions that visit the other Party with the knowledge and support of the relevant agencies; (e) supporting dialogue and exchanges of experience among the respective business communities of the Parties; (f) establishing and developing mechanisms for providing information and identifying opportunities for business cooperation, trade in goods and services, investment, and government procurement; and (g) stimulating and facilitating actions of public and/or private sectors in areas of economic interest.

  • Joint Safety Committee (a) The Union and the Company shall cooperate in selecting one or more Safety Committees, which will meet at least once a month to consider all safety and occupational health problems. (b) The local Joint Safety Committee shall consist of equal representation from Company and Union. This Committee shall meet at least once a month to consider all safety and occupational health problems.

  • JOINT LABOUR MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE A Joint Labour Management Committee shall be established to attend to those matters which are of mutual interest. To ensure its effectiveness the Committee shall be separate and apart from the grievance procedure.

  • Partners If the Partnership declines to purchase said ownership interest under said notice period, each Partner shall jointly and severally be given a first right of refusal within days’ notice to purchase the ownership interest under the same terms and conditions agreed upon by the potential buyer. If more than one (1) Partner agrees to purchase, they shall be obligated to share the terms of the purchase equally.

  • Industrial cooperation Cooperation shall aim to promote the modernisation and restructuring of industry and individual sectors in Serbia. It shall also cover industrial cooperation between economic operators, with the objective of strengthening the private sector under conditions which ensure that the environment is protected. Industrial cooperation initiatives shall reflect the priorities determined by both Parties. They shall take into account the regional aspects of industrial development, promoting trans-national partnerships when relevant. The initiatives should seek in particular to establish a suitable framework for undertakings, to improve management, know-how and to promote markets, market transparency and the business environment. Special attention shall be devoted to the establishment of efficient export promotion activities in Serbia. Cooperation shall take due account of the Community acquis in the field of industrial policy.

  • UNION COOPERATION The Union, as well as the members thereof, agree at all times as fully as it may be within their power, to further the interests of the Employer.

  • Cooperation Between the Parties The College and UFE shall supply each other with requested information reasonably needed to facilitate the processing of the grievance. Meetings to discuss any grievance shall be scheduled at mutually convenient times.

  • Joint Health and Safety Committee (a) The Employer and the Union agree that they mutually desire to maintain standards of occupational health and safety in the organization, in order to prevent accidents, injury and illness. The parties agree to promote health and safety throughout the organization. The employer shall provide orientation and training in health and safety to new and current employees on an ongoing basis, and employees shall attend required health and safety training sessions. (b) Recognizing its responsibilities under the applicable legislation, the Employer agrees to accept as a member of its Joint Health and Safety Committee, at least one representative from the bargaining unit. The number of committee members will be no less than that determined by legislation and the bargaining unit will be entitled to the same membership as any other employee group on the committees. The Union shall notify the employer of their representatives. (c) Such Committee shall identify potential dangers and hazards, institute means of improving health and safety programs, and recommend actions to be taken to improve conditions related to occupational health and safety. (d) The Employer agrees to cooperate reasonably in providing necessary information to enable the Committee to fulfill its functions. The Committee shall respect the confidentiality of the information. (e) The Union agrees to endeavour to obtain the full cooperation of its membership in the observation of all safety rules and practices. (f) Meetings shall be held every third month or more frequently at the call of either co-chair, if required. The Committee shall keep Minutes of all meetings and make the Minutes available for review. (g) All time spent by a member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee attending meetings of the Committee and carrying out the members duties, shall be deemed to be time worked for which the member shall be paid by the Employer at the member's applicable rate of pay, and the member shall be entitled to such time from the member's work as necessary for those duties. (h) The employer shall take every precaution reasonable in the circumstances for the protection of a worker. [Occupational Health and Safety Act, s. 25

  • Tax Cooperation The Parties shall cooperate fully, as and to the extent reasonably requested by the other Party, in connection with the filing of Tax Returns and any audit, litigation, or other proceeding with respect to Taxes relating to the Assets. Such cooperation shall include the retention and (upon another Party’s request) the provision of records and information that are relevant to any such Tax Return or audit, litigation or other proceeding and making employees available on a mutually convenient basis to provide additional information and explanation of any material provided under this Agreement. Seller and the Buyer agree to retain all books and records with respect to tax matters pertinent to the Assets relating to any tax period beginning before the Effective Time until the expiration of the statute of limitations of the respective tax periods and to abide by all record retention agreements entered into with any taxing authority.
