Common use of Merit Advancement Non-Grievable Clause in Contracts

Merit Advancement Non-Grievable. ‌ This entire Section 6.17, including subsections, regarding merit increases shall not be grievable or appealable under this Memorandum or any County resolution, ordinance, policy or practice. An employee whose merit increase is denied by the Department Head may, upon request, meet and discuss with the Department Head the reasons for the denial. The decision of the Department Head shall be final.
