Common use of Merit Pay Clause in Contracts

Merit Pay. 13.2.1. Step Increase Pay – Bargaining unit employees will be eligible for Step Increase Pay based upon receipt of year-end performance appraisal ratings issued by the assigned supervisor. Step Increase Pay will be paid according to the following: 13.2.1.1. Eligible - Employees must have a proficient year-end performance appraisal to receive a one (1) step base-building salary increase until earning placement at step five (5).
