Military Experience Sample Clauses
Military Experience. If honorably discharged, including a general discharge under honorable conditions, credit for pay purposes shall be granted for up to four years of active military duty in the armed forces of the United States of America. This credit will be granted upon receipt of the employee’s DD 214 by Employment Services.
Military Experience. For purposes of placement within the salary range, military experience shall be translated into teaching experiences as follows:
1. Eight months of either military experience or military experience combined with teaching experience shall be equivalent to one-year teaching experience, providing such service shall occur within the school year beginning July 1 and ending June 30.
2. Military experience substituted shall not exceed four years.
3. The provisions of this section shall apply to all veterans who took the oath of allegiance, wore the uniform, served in either combat or non-combat units, and were discharged under honorable conditions.
Military Experience. Teachers may be granted, not to exceed two (2) steps on the salary schedule for military service, provided such military service was performed after he/she had received a valid teaching certificate or license. But, in no event, shall military experience and outside experience exceed seven (7) steps.
a. Military allowance shall be set at the rate of not to exceed two (2) years military service for one (1) year’s allowance.
b. Allowance for prior service and prior military service is not retroactive.
Military Experience. (a) Eligibility shall be limited to Teachers whose period of employment with the Board commenced, or recommenced, on or after 1971 September 01.
(b) Credit shall be granted to eligible Teachers for military service credited to them by the Teachers’ Pension Plan Board, and for which receipts are produced verifying contribution to the Teachers’ Pension Fund.
Military Experience. For military experience that interrupted actual teaching, the District will recognize for experience credit a maximum of five (5) years, or as required by the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act and Washington State law.

If an individual's employment is interrupted by military service, up to four (4) year’s salary credit shall be granted, however no military experience for which an employee is receiving retirement benefits shall be applied as year's credit on the salary schedule. Verification of such experience must be received by the Board within one (1) year from date of hire.
Military Experience. Only active duty military service gained prior to September 1, 1976, shall be recognized for salary credit purposes. One year of salary credit shall be granted for two years of recognized military service experience. Credit for partial years less than two shall be granted on a one for two basis. Two years of salary credit shall be granted for three years of recognized military service experience. No other military service experience shall be recognized.

Military Experience. Work experience in the armed services of the United States may be allowed as credit on the salary schedule provided it is relative to the work to be performed. A year of military service is defined to include not less than nine (9) months of any twelve (12) month period. The dates of induction and separation from active duty will determine the period of service.
