Common use of Minor Illness Clause in Contracts

Minor Illness. Where an employee is suffering from a minor illness which could have a detrimental effect on the patients or other staff in the employer’s care, the employer may, at its discretion, either: 4.3.11.1 place the employee on suitable alternative duties, including working from home (where appropriate); 4.3.11.2 direct the employee to take leave on full pay. Such leave shall not be a charge against the employee's sick and domestic leave entitlement.
