MISCELLANEOUS WORKING CONDITIONS. Absence Due to Family Emergency 26.01 It is recognized that family emergencies occur which necessitate an employee's absence. The Company will attempt to minimize the financial impact of such absences by the granting of paid time owing to the employee. It is understood that time off for family emergencies is to attend to immediate responsibilities and the employee will make every reasonable effort to return to work as soon as possible.
