Years If the employee has ten (10) years but less than sixteen (16) years of continuous service with the Employer, the employee shall be entitled to a lump sum payment equal to seven (7) months pay at the rate of pay the employee was earning at the time the position became redundant or surplus.
Five Years All full-time employees who have been continuously employed by the Employer for five (5) years shall receive three (3) weeks’ vacation with full pay.

Extension After Suspension When a suspension occurs through no fault of PURCHASER, PURCHASER may request an extension of time for performance of this contract, for a period not to exceed the period of operations that were suspended. The request for extension must be in writing and:
Compensation for Holidays Falling on Scheduled Days Off 1. When a holiday falls on a full-time employee's regularly scheduled day off, the employee shall receive eight (8) hours of compensatory time.
Four on, Two off Schedule In an effort to maximize full-time employment opportunities, the local parties may agree to a “four on, two off” innovative schedule, subject to the following principles:
Advancement on the Salary Schedule 5.8.1 When a regular or term employee obtains an academic, professional, trades or technical credential, or equivalent, appropriate to their subject area, and the degree, credential or equivalent has not been credited for initial step placement pursuant to Article 5.6 Initial Placement, the employee may apply to Human Resources to have their step placement reviewed.
Placement on the Salary Schedule All teachers shall be placed on the appropriate step in the salary schedule taking into consideration the following:
Waiting Periods for Coverage There is a two (2) day Waiting Period per Pet before We will cover an Injury. There is a three hundred and sixty-five (365) day Waiting Period per Pet before We will cover a Pre-existing Condition. Waiting Periods are waived for subsequent renewals and add-on coverage from a preceding Policy year provided You maintain an active Policy, with no gap in coverage, annually renewed and continuously in-force.
Unpaid Leave - After Three Years For every three (3) years' continuous service, an employee may request, in writing, an extended unpaid leave of absence, giving the longest possible advance notice. Every reasonable effort shall be made to comply with such requests providing that replacements to ensure proper operation of the Employer's business can be found. Notice of the Employer's decision shall be in writing.
