Movement to a Lower Classification. When an employee's position is reallocated to a classification with a lower salary range, the employee shall suffer no reduction in salary, and the Y-rate provisions of this Agreement shall apply. The salary of an employee who voluntarily demotes shall be that salary step nearest but does not exceed such salary paid in the previous classification.
