Mulching. The contractor shall clear a circular path (tree ring) around the base of all replacement trees. This path will have a radius of three (3) feet, measured from the base of the tree. This ring shall be cleared of all growth and debris, delineated with landscape edging (to hold the mulch in place), and filled with mulch. When replacing plants, a three inch layer of mulch must be maintained at all times in the bed areas.
