The District and Association recognize that the use of the MTSS Whole Child Framework enables teachers, ESAs, ESPs, administrators, students, and families to work together to ensure that each student has equitable access to opportunities that meet every need, enhance every strength, and move our system towards racial and educational justice. The District will continue to develop and provide guidance and materials to ensure there is a unified approach across the system that builds on educator knowledge and students’ strengths in order to support the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students, especially minoritized students furthest from educational justice. If a change of working conditions occurs as a result of these provisions, the parties agree to discuss it in AALT. If a solution agreeable to both parties is not achieved, either party may request to reopen this article.
