Multiple attachments and “place polygamy” The ease of communication due to internet and mobile phones is another central element in the lives of the informants. Internet has reduced the importance of geographical distance and allowed staying in contact with relatives and friends living in another country, even to such a degree that borders might lose their significance. Myös puhelin, no, saa soittaa. (Lisette) Maybe new kind of communication possibilities and easier travelling has brought about that they do not have a need to integrate with the Finnish society as they do not plan to stay in Finland for good. Internet connections seem to have made this easier, because it eases maintaining social relations with acquaintances in Estonia and immigrants do not have such a great need finding social relations in the new country. In the following quotation, I asked Darja whether she has absorbed any Finnish habits and she answered by telling that she has made an Estonian home for herself in Finland. Mitä sitte mitä sä ajattelet suomalaisuudesta? Ootko omaksunu jotain suomalaisia asioita? No emmä tiedä tota…äää…en varmaa oo, ku mä oon tehny oma koti tänne että tota noin…suomalails…oma Viron koti täällä Suomessa. (Darja) All three above quotations can be understood by using Ulrich Beck‟...

Multiple attachments. When two I/O cards are installed, both interface cards may be active simultaneously, supporting up to 3 communications channels simultaneously. A channel refers to a physical connection and data stream - a single modular card can have multiple channels on it. For example, the Direct-Attach card supports both serial and parallel interfaces - if both are being used, this would consume 2 of the 3 total available channels. On the other hand, the Ethernet card will be capable of being configured as multiple IP address and appear on the network as multiple virtual printers, but has only one physical connection and therefore only counts as one channel . -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kentek Information Systems Confidential Page 19 57 K40D Product Specification Version 2.5 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When no job is active, the controller will poll both interfaces for the next job.
