Common use of MVEMSA Medical Oversight Clause in Contracts

MVEMSA Medical Oversight. A. MVEMSA will furnish medical control services including the services of the MVEMSA Medical Director for all system participants’ functions in the EMS System (e.g., medical communications, First Responder Agencies, transport providers). B. MVEMSA, through base hospital physicians (as defined in Health and Safety Code section 1797.59), shall also provide online medical control to field personnel 24-hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. X. XXXXXX recognizes the unique role of the MVEMSA Medical Director in delegating to Contractor’s personnel the authority to perform certain medical interventions in accordance with the standards outlined by California law. D. Contractor shall immediately notify MVEMSA of potential violations of the California Health and Safety Code, California Code of Regulations, or MVEMSA policy and protocols. Contractor shall complete an incident or unusual occurrence report within 24-hours for personnel involved in an unusual occurrence. Contractor shall cooperate fully with MVEMSA and/or the California EMS Authority in the investigation of an incident or unusual occurrence.
