MVPC+’s Staff Reference Check Processes. MVPC+ performs reference checks regularly on contractors that we employ for work in state agencies. MVPC+’s Senior Consultant collects multiple references from each prospective contractor, contacts the reference providers directly, by phone, and documents the following:  Confirmation of the contractor’s employment dates, job title and duties  A rating of the contractor’s technical ability and job performance (on a scale of 1-10)  Were there any attendance or other issues, comments and concerns?  If applicable, why is the contractor no longer working with the agency or firm?  Would they would re-hire the contractor? We also use reference letters that we receive from candidates’ employers to further evaluate the suitability of a contractor for a particular position. In addition to reference checks, we can also conduct background checks, if required upon selection.

  • Contractor Personnel – Reference Checks The Contractor warrants that all persons employed to provide service under this Contract have satisfactory past work records indicating their ability to adequately perform the work under this Contract. Contractor’s employees assigned to this project must meet character standards as demonstrated by background investigation and reference checks, coordinated by the agency/department issuing this Contract.
