Common use of National Board Certification Stipend Clause in Contracts

National Board Certification Stipend. A. Teachers who earn National Board for Professional Teacher Standards (NBPTS) Certification will receive a stipend of $1,000 per year for ten (10) years of the certification. If a NBPTS teacher is hired by the District, he/she will receive the stipend for the years remaining in the certification. If no NBPTS program exists for an employee's specific subject area, then the employee may submit a program to TACT to consider and forward a recommendation to the Board. The standard of other national certification programs must meet or exceed the NBPTS benchmarks. National licenses do not qualify for this stipend.
