Participating Teacher. A. Participating Teachers are all certificated classroom teachers who participate in the Peer Assistance and Review program. As defined in Section 1 of this Article, teachers fall into two categories: Referred Participating Teachers, Voluntary Participating Teachers. Participating Teachers will participate annually in the evaluation of the PAR program.
Participating Teacher. A Volunteer Participating Teacher is a teacher who volunteers to participate in the Mentoring Program. The purpose of participation in the Mentoring Program for the Volunteer Participating Teacher is for assistance only, and the Mentor Teacher shall not participate in a performance review of the Volunteer Participating Teacher. Volunteer Participants may submit requests for support at any time, and may terminate his or her participation in the Mentor Program at any time.
Participating Teacher. Referred Participating Teacher
Participating Teacher. 12.11.2.1 A Participating Teacher is a classroom teacher who is to receive assistance and coaching to improve instructional skills, classroom management, knowledge of instructional subject matter, and related aspects of teacher performance. There are two categories of Participating Teachers: those who are referred for participation and those who volunteer to participate.
Participating Teacher. The Participating Teacher is a unit member who receives assistance and coaching to improve instructional skills, classroom management, knowledge of subject, and related aspects of their evaluative performance (see appendix 1) and in the Association collective bargaining agreement. The evaluation of any participating teacher shall be consistent with Article 11 - Evaluation of the collective bargaining agreement and Ed Code 44664. There are two (2) categories of Participating Teachers: Mandatory and Self-referred.
2.4.1 Mandatory Teacher Participant When selecting a teacher for Mandatory Participation:
2.4.1.1 The purpose of participation in the PAR Program is to assist permanent teachers in need of development in subject matter knowledge or teaching strategies, or both.
2.4.1.2 Communication regarding the mandatory participating teacher shall be limited to the Consulting Teacher/Support Provider, Site Administrator, PAR Joint Panel, Assistant Superintendent, Human Resources, and the Board of Trustees.
2.4.1.3 The Consulting Teacher/Support Provider shall provide assistance to the participating teacher until the teaching performance of the participating teacher is “satisfactory,” or further assistance will not be productive, at which time the Consulting Teacher shall submit a written recommendation to the PAR Joint Panel. A Consulting Teacher’s written recommendations shall be made at least annually. The Consulting Teacher shall continue to provide assistance to the participating teacher until the PAR Joint Panel acts on a recommendation. The participating teacher shall have the right to submit a 2.5 Exclusions written response to the final report. The PAR Program shall not deal with teacher employment issues that arise from accusations of neglect of duty or misconduct which are distinctly different from teacher evaluations in relationship to the evaluation standards (see appendix 1).
Participating Teacher. A “Participating Teacher” shall receive assistance and coaching to improve instructional skills, classroom management, knowledge of subject matter and other aspects of teaching performance as described in the California Standards for the Teaching Profession.
Participating Teacher. 23.7.4.1 A Participating Teacher is a unit member who receives an unsatisfactory rating and who is to receive assistance and coaching to improve instructional skills, classroom management, knowledge of instructional subject matter, and related aspects of teaching performance. There are two (2) categories of Participating Teachers—those who volunteer and those who are required to participate based upon having received a “Continuation with Improvement(s) Required.”
a. The purpose of participation in the PAR program is to help correct job-related deficiencies and to assist the unit member in improving performance. Permanent unit members who have received a “Continuation with Improvement(s) Required” are candidates for participation in PAR.
b. The Consulting Teacher assigned by the PAR Panel will provide assistance to the Participating Teacher until he/she concludes that further assistance will not be beneficial, at which time the Consulting Teacher will submit a final report of the teacher’s participation in the program to the PAR Panel. The Participating Teacher may submit a written response to the final report and/or request a meeting with the PAR Panel subject to the rules established by the panel. A copy of the Consulting Teacher’s final report shall be provided to both the Participating Teacher and the Evaluator prior to its submission to the PAR Panel. The Evaluator will be provided the opportunity to address the PAR Panel upon request. The Evaluator’s comments shall be advisory only.
c. The PAR Panel will forward a final evaluation of the teacher’s participation in the program to the Governing Board, Superintendent, or designee. The evaluation and recommendation(s) of the PAR Panel and the peer review reports prepared by the Consulting Teachers shall be advisory only, for the benefit of the Participating Teacher and the District and shall in no way limit the District’s discretion or authority with regard to decisions and actions regarding the employment status of any employee. The fact that the employee is participating in PAR will not limit or delay the District’s authority or discretion to make any such decision or take any such action. Participation in PAR will not create any right or expectancy of continued employment by the District for any period of time.
d. The results of the Participating Teacher’s participation in PAR may be used in the evaluation of the teacher pursuant to Education Code § 44660 et seq.

Participating Teacher. A teacher who participates in the Educator Development and Support Program as New Teacher, Referred Teacher, or Volunteer Teacher.
Participating Teacher. 8 (1) Referred Participating Teacher
9 a. Any permanent teacher who has received an overall unsatisfactory 10 because of not meeting two (2) or more of the teaching standards, with at 11 least one (1) or more of those to be among the standards one (1) through 12 five (5) on the performance evaluation, must participate in the program.
13 b. The Consulting Teacher’s PAR assistance plan shall be based on the 14 specific areas identified as unsatisfactory in the evaluation document.
15 1. The Evaluator and the Consulting Teacher assigned shall meet and 16 discuss the recommended areas of improvement outlined by the 17 Evaluator and the types of assistance that should be provided by the 18 Consulting Teacher.
19 2. These performance goals for the PAR assistance plan shall be clearly 20 stated and aligned with the California Standards for the Teaching 21 Profession, contractual evaluation procedures, and consistent with
