During the development of this program, we reached out to our partners and stakeholders, including local schools, community centers, churches, and businesses. We wanted to understand their perceptions of the needs and strengths of local Black girls and women. This invaluable input helped us shape our overall programmatic and organizational direction and helped us to ensure that it is responsive to the community’s needs. In the implementation phase, we will continue to engage community stakeholders in various ways. We will invite local leaders and experts to share their knowledge and experiences in our bi-weekly sessions. Businesses will be encouraged to participate in job fairs and provide internships or job opportunities to our participants. We will conduct regular opportunities to gather feedback on the program’s impact and areas of improvement.
