Network Adequacy. A. The Contractor shall ensure that all services covered under this Contract are available and accessible to beneficiaries in a timely manner. 42 C.F.R. § 438.206(a) B. Maintain and monitor a network of appropriate providers that is supported by written agreements for subcontractors and that is sufficient to provide adequate access to all services covered under this contract for all beneficiaries, including those with limited English proficiency or physical or mental disabilities. The Contractor shall ensure that network providers provide physical access, reasonable accommodations, and accessible equipment for Medi-Cal beneficiaries with physical or mental disabilities. (42 C.F.R. § 438.206(b)(1) and (c)(3).) C. The Contractor shall adhere to, in all geographic areas within the county, the time and distance standards for adult and pediatric mental health providers developed by the Department. (42 C.F.R. § 438.68(a), (b)(1)(iii), (3), 438.206(a).) D. The Contractor may submit to the Department a request for Alternate Access Standards. The Department will evaluate requests and grant appropriate exceptions to the state developed standards.
