Common use of New Hire Probationary Period Clause in Contracts

New Hire Probationary Period. All newly hired employees shall serve a probationary period of 180 calendar days in length. Any time during of the probationary period and before the end of the probationary period, the Agency may terminate employment without appeal or grievance.

Employees serving the initial 14 probationary period shall not be eligible for posted positions until they have successfully 15 completed the 180 calendar days initial probationary period unless the employee in their 16 probationary period is the most qualified or only candidate. 18 Any time during of the probationary period and before the end of the probationary period, the Agency appointing authority or designee may 19 terminate employment without appeal or grievance. 21 Part-time employees shall serve an initial 1040 hour probationary period.
