New Sick Leave. 1. Employee shall accrue three and ninety-six one-hundredths (3.96) hours per pay-period of Sick Leave as of January 1, 2007. (annual accrual = 103 hours) 2. Employee shall use New Sick Leave and exhaust New Sick Leave balances prior to accessing Old Sick Leave. 3. Employee may cash out his un-used annual sick leave up to one hundred and three (103) hours annually. The amount eligible for cash out is on an annual basis, based on the fiscal year ending in June and is available for cash out in the month of August. 4. Employee may credit hour for hour New Sick Leave towards service credit to the maximum allowed by PERS. (Old and New Sick Leave may be combined for this benefit). 5. Employee may cash out New Sick Leave at 100% of balance upon separation from District at his present hourly rate. These monies are taxable and are not applicable as PERS-able income.
