Common use of NIGHT DUTY PREMIUM Clause in Contracts

NIGHT DUTY PREMIUM. Employees shall be paid eight-and-one-half percent (8.5%) more than the base rate for each hour regularly assigned between 5:00 p.m. and midnight (12:00 a.m.) if the employee works at least one (1) hour of his/her shift between 5:00 p.m. and midnight (12:00 a.m.), except for those employees participating in an authorized flex-time program and who voluntarily work between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and midnight (12:00 a.m.). Shift pay of 8.5% be shall paid for the entire shift, provided at least five (5) hours of the employee's shift falls between 5:00 p.m. and midnight (12:00 a.m.).
